Erik Spiekermann Identity

A typographic identity and branding for Erik Spiekermann based on his 1991 typeface, Meta. Spiekermann, highly critical of Helvetica's utilitarianism and lack of identity, created Meta as a response. It's humanistic curvature and accentuated terminals give Meta it's characteristic quirky nature.

The logo celebrates this heritage of uniqueness, highlighting the glyph "<". A series of bespoke legal documents, business cards, envelopes and a folder were created using the same angle of the glyph.
